The start

This is the start of something big.

The start

While pursuing my own financial independence goals, I created loads of spreadsheets. I hacked together different tools, trying to visualize the future before finally taking the leap.

If you are nearing the end of your accumulation phase, you know the feeling.

On paper, everything is good. The 4% rule checks out. Returns are adjusted for inflation. Withdrawal strategies are set up. Yet, there is a lingering fear of leaving the old life and diving into the unknown even if it’s what you’ve been preparing for all this time.

Enter EasyFinancialPlanner

I’m building EasyFinancialPlanner as the main tool for my own pre and post FI journey. I am building this with two core principles in mind:

  1. It must be Easy. Anyone should be able to use it without reading tons of documentation or becoming a CPA. Complexity should be hidden, not exposed.

  2. It must be Smart. It needs to do more than a calculator. It needs to show the future path pre and post financial independence, allowing you to compare and evaluate different options and strategies dynamically.

It is a challenging goal, but one that I’m very excited about. I expect the tool to be available for early users in a couple of months.
